Free practice tests and real exam simulators for Canada and the USA — every answer explained, no sign-up, no cost.

How it works

Three steps between you and a passing score.

1

Pick your test

Choose your province or state above. Every test is built from that jurisdiction's official driver handbook.

2

Practice with explanations

Answer questions and learn the rule behind each one. Your mistakes are saved on your device so you can drill them.

3

Simulate the real exam

Same question count, same pass mark, a running timer and no hints — so test day feels like just another practice run.

Common questions

Is EarnMyLicense really free?

Yes. Every practice test and exam simulator on this site is free, with no account and no sign-up. We plan to keep the lights on with advertising and an optional paid 'Pass Guarantee' tier with extra features — the free tests stay free.

Are these the actual test questions from the government exam?

No — and be careful of any site that claims otherwise, since real exam questions are not published. Our questions are original practice questions we wrote from the official driver handbooks, covering the same rules, signs and situations the real test covers.

How is the exam simulator different from practice mode?

Practice mode teaches as you go: you see the correct answer and an explanation after every question. The exam simulator copies the real test — same number of questions, same pass mark, a timer, and no explanations until you finish.

Which tests can I practise here?

Right now: the Ontario G1 and British Columbia Class 7 written tests (Canada), the California, Texas, Florida, New York, Illinois, Georgia, Washington, Pennsylvania, Ohio and North Carolina written tests (USA), and a universal road signs test. More states and provinces are being added — each new one is a question bank away.

Does this site replace the official driver handbook?

No. It is a practice companion to the handbook. Read your jurisdiction's official handbook first, then use our tests to find your weak spots before test day.
